2024 NWCFC Forum

Taking place every two years, the Northwest Community Forest Coalition leads a multi-day event with the intention of bringing practitioners together to learn, share, and collaborate around opportunities throughout for community forests across the region.

The meeting will take place over parts of three days and includes a schedule of:

Currently, the Forum Agenda Topics Include:

  • Discussion of Development Approaches for Community Forestry in La Grande and Wallowa County.

  • Panel around how Regional or National NGO’s support community led efforts in community forestry.

  • Panel on managing recreation, hunting, and access on properties as ownership changes.

  • Session on Utilizing Alternative Funding Mechanisms to Leverage Community Forest Acquisitions.
